Carbondale Rotary launches our inaugural “Running of the Balls” fundraiser where we’re going to blow up to 100 giant rubber balls down Main Street in Carbondale during First Friday on September 7th using hurricane fans. Tickets will be sold and the winner (whoever matches the first two balls to cross the finish) gets $5,000. The event will feature a small parade (fire truck, street horns band or marching band) and ball games (volleyball, corn hole, etc.) We look forward to reaching the entire community during Carbondale's famous First Friday event series.. Jack Brendlinger is heading up the effort.
